Privacy Policy

This explains what ProveBid collects and why. Short version: as little as possible, and we don't sell it.

1. What we collect

• Purchase information — name, email, and country, provided to us by Polar when you buy. We never see or store your full card details.
• Licence data — your licence key and activation status, plus the browser user-agent of each activated device so you can tell your own devices apart.
• Business data you enter — wage rates, overhead, contract records. This is kept in your browser. It reaches us only if you switch sync on, and you are asked before that happens.
• Basic analytics — pages viewed and referring source, in aggregate.

2. What we don't collect

No card numbers. No client names or addresses are required — name your accounts however you like. We don't buy data about you from third parties, and we don't run advertising trackers.

3. Why we hold it

To deliver the product, validate licences, provide support, meet tax and accounting obligations, and understand which pages are useful. That's the complete list.

4. Who we share with

Only processors needed to run the service: Polar (payments, Merchant of Record), Supabase (database, hosted in the United States), Vercel (hosting), and our email provider. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

5. Your rights

You may request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion. Email support@provebid.com and we'll act within 30 days. If you're in the UK, EU, or a US state with a privacy statute, you may also have a right to complain to your regulator.

6. Retention

Licence and purchase records are kept while your licence is active and afterwards only as long as tax law requires. Synced business data is deleted on request or within 12 months of a licence going dormant.
