The number above tells you what buildings like this tend to pay. It cannot tell you whether you make money at that price — because it doesn't know your wage, your payroll burden, your insurance, your vehicle, or how many billable hours you're spreading overhead across.

Production rates. Time is estimated from published industry ranges for general commercial cleaning — roughly 3,000–4,000 sq ft per hour for basic open office work, dropping sharply for detail-heavy and regulated space. Rates are adjusted for facility type, soil load and service frequency, then restroom fixture time and travel are added on top.
Pricing. The range applies blended market billing rates of roughly $35–65 per labor hour, which sit inside the commonly cited $30–75 band. The cross-check compares your resulting rate per square foot against typical ranges for that facility category, because a number that looks fine hourly can still be indefensible per square foot.
What it can't do. It doesn't know your local labor market, your equipment, your crew's actual speed, or the specific scope in the RFP. It is a starting point for a walkthrough, not a substitute for one. Treat every output as a hypothesis to verify on site.
